By booking and participating in our mountain guiding services, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth below. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all participants.
2. Services Provided
We offer guided mountain tours and treks in the Atlas Mountains and other designated regions in Morocco. Our services include:
- Mountain guides with local expertise
- Transportation to and from the trek starting points (if applicable)
- Assistance with logistical planning, such as accommodation and permits
- Support throughout the trek for safety and enjoyment
3. Booking and Payment
- Booking: To confirm your booking, a deposit of 30% of the total price is required. The full balance must be paid 40 days before the scheduled start date of the trek.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal , Western Union
- Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking:
- More than 40 days before the trek: You will receive a full refund minus a [XX%] cancellation fee.
- Less than 20 days before the trek: No refund will be issued.
4. Health and Safety
- Physical Fitness: You are responsible for ensuring that you are in adequate physical condition to participate in the trek. Some treks may be strenuous and involve steep terrain, high altitudes, and variable weather conditions.
- Medical Conditions: You must inform us of any medical conditions or allergies that could impact your participation. You may be required to submit a medical clearance before booking certain treks.
- Insurance: We strongly recommend that you have comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for mountain activities, accidents, and evacuation services.
- Guides’ Authority: Our guides have the authority to modify or cancel the trek if weather conditions or safety concerns arise. The safety and well-being of participants are our top priority.
5. Trek Itinerary and Route
- Flexibility: While we will strive to follow the agreed-upon itinerary, trekking routes, distances, and schedules may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions or trail closures.
- Guides’ Discretion: Our experienced guides will make adjustments to the route if necessary for the safety and well-being of participants.
6. Participant Responsibilities
- Luggage: You are responsible for ensuring your own luggage is packed appropriately and within the weight limits set by us. You may be required to carry a personal daypack for essentials.
- Respect for the Environment: Participants must adhere to Leave No Trace principles, respecting the local environment and cultural sites.
- Behavior: We expect participants to behave in a respectful and responsible manner, both to fellow trekkers and to the local communities. Failure to do so may result in removal from the trek without a refund.
7. Liability
- Liability Waiver: By booking our services, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with mountain trekking. 9. Photography and Media
- You agree that Hire Your Guide may use photographs or video footage taken during the trek for promotional purposes, unless you explicitly opt-out in writing.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes or claims arising from the services provided will be addressed under Moroccan law. We encourage you to reach out directly to us for resolution before pursuing formal legal action.
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be informed of any significant changes prior to their trek.
